Lakeshore Heights is a cottage development situated along the East shores of Lake Winnipeg, a short one hour drive north of the City of Winnipeg.
Lakeshore Heights consists of 300 cottages, boasting 25 permanent residences.
The local amenities offered include: two children’s playgrounds, a volleyball court and a basketball court, all of which overlook the lake. Lakeshore Heights also has a large Covered Community Structure which provides our residents a place to gather and partake in our annual local events that planned by Social Committee volunteers. The events are held at the facility where there are BBQs, picnic tables, and a large green space. A children's play structure and horse shoe pits are also located nearby. Current Members of the Association can also obtain permission to access to this facility to hold family gatherings or other events.
The “piece de resistance” that our residents brag about are the spectacular sunsets. On many evenings one can witness families walking down to the designated green spaces for a front row seat to view one of nature’s gifts.
A mere 5 kilometer drive to the north is the Grand Beach Provincial Park. The shallow waters and fine, sandy beach is renowned and is one of North Americas top 10 Beaches. Within the Park and along the boardwalk there are food and clothing kiosks, and a state of the art washroom facility.
The town of Grand Marais, the gateway to the park, has stores, restaurants, and many other amenities to serve your needs.
